Walter J. Unger, a senior principal with Unger & Associates, has been designated as an expert witness in approximately 50 legal cases involving healthcare providers, insurers, and manufacturers.

In addition, Mr. Unger provides litigation support services on cases involving healthcare insurers and providers (including, for instance, hospitals, physicians, clinics, laboratories, and ambulance companies).

He has worked on a wide variety of matters including but not limited to health insurers' coverage, coding, and payment policies; managed-care issues associated with HMOs and IPAs; Medicare and Medicaid fraud and abuse issues, and the impact of federal and state government legislation and regulations on business transactions.
